Athens Photo Festival 2022
Photography can be about anything. From depicting reality to altering our perception of life as we know it, the eighth art funnels our everyday lives and exposes us to faraway or even imaginary vistas. For its 35th iteration, Athens Photo Festival selected 102 artists from 28 countries to exhibit their work on the walls of the Benaki Museum. An impressive exhibition, taking over 3,000 sqm, it features works from all image-based genres: fine art, photojournalism, even installations and interactive content. Athens Photo Festival supports photography professionals with an all year round programme, organising events, performances, portfolio reviews, a talent lab, and several other initiatives like the Photo Marathon.
Benaki Museum is just one of the museums and galleries you get to explore in the wider Petralona and Thissio area - your photo escapade can easily turn into a full day art adventure.
